1. Real-time raw signal genomic analysis with in-memory computing
Nanopore genomic analysis typically requires two computationally intensive steps: basecalling and read mapping, both demanding frequent and costly data movement on Von Neumann hardware.
This work inroduced a memristor-based hardware-software co-design, that directly analyze the raw signals using in-memory computing hardware, effectively combining separate basecalling and read mapping.
